I’m Jess and Welcome to The Vegetarian Lab, our vegetarian food blog for everyone; vegetarians, vegetarian lovers, good food lovers, anyone looking for vegetarian recipes, healthy alternatives, something new or just wanting to have some fun with food. I love food, eating and cooking with a passion and I’m a food photographer and blogger in the making. I would love to share our journey with you all.
With so many food blogs out there, what will you get from us? We’re simply about a well-balanced vegetarian diet filled with lots of good food and home cooking. We’re not health conscious fanatics but eating healthy nutritious food makes us feel good and have more energy. On the other hand, what’s life without beautiful indulgent desserts? Hence, we believe in everything in moderation so stay tuned for our delectable collection of vegetarian recipes. Our goal is to make bland foods such as tofu and potatoes super scrumptious and to create as much variety as possible for vegetarians. You will find vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, low-fat recipes and so on. However, I won’t be doing any of these categories solely, except that all my recipes will be vegetarian.
Vegetarian meals bring out such colours in our foods. Over the years, I’ve discovered so many ways to create easy meals for busy families and tasty meals for those who think vegetarian foods are boring. With a little imagination and creativity, we can make delicious homemade meals from scratch. These are not only healthier but tastier at the same time. My favourite recipes are anywhere I can reduce the use of processed foods and commercial products. Since so many of us have food allergies nowadays, it means we will know exactly what is going into our meals and how to tailor them to our family needs. Furthermore, I will endeavour to show you how good food and healthy eating can be so affordable. The recipes you will find on our blog are very achievable recipes. You won’t require master chef skills nor will you have to spend a fortune on herbs, spices or kitchen equipment.
I love creating both classic dishes as well as experimenting adventurous alternatives. I’m simply fascinated about ways to bring out the natural flavours and sweetness of freshly grown produce. Hence, the birth of our food blog The Vegetarian Lab. I’m hoping our vegetarian food blog will assist anyone with our similar interest in learning everything about vegetarianism from recipes to gaining more knowledge on the health and nutritional aspects of good eating. Let’s face it, we can all do with more fresh produce, good food and home cooking in our lives.
So please enjoy, share and say hello! Thanks for your support and for tuning in.
